Abidjan

After several days in Lome, it was time to head home…or to begin heading home. For the journey home, we flew to Abidjan, Ivory Coast. We spent two nights in Abidjan.

In Abidjan, some friends showed us around the massive city. Several times I forgot that I was in West Africa…far from Niger! There was a mall…decked out with Christmas decorations and all.

Merry Christmas!

grass! real grass!

Now the journey is over and I am safely back in Niamey, Niger. The last week or so has been tiring, but refreshing. It has reminded me of how God is in control and that we don’t know what will happen tomorrow. As James says, “why you don’t even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, if it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
